  • Are children welcome?
Absolutely, everyone is welcome at Phoenix Bike Park no matter your age or ability. In fact, under-5s ride free when accompanied by a full-paying family member. Otherwise, it's £5 for the whole day, and we have plenty of trails suitable for balance bikes.
  • Do I need to fill out a waiver before I ride?

  • Do I need a helmet to ride?
Yes, absolutely! You MUST wear a suitable cycling helmet at all times while riding our park. Your helmet does not need to be full face. • Are beginners welcome?
Yes, Yes and Yes! The Bike Park has been built to have something for everyone and we love welcoming beginners to our park. Areas around the site are marked as beginner, intermediate or advanced. Please make yourself aware of the site and what areas are best suited for you depending on your ride ability. Sessions during the weekend at the middle of the day are the busiest so if you would like to come when the site is quieter, we recommend the first sessions of the day or during the week.
  • Can I fly drones at the Bike Park?
No, we do not allow drone filming and flying at Phoenix Bike Park.
  • What bike is suitable at Phoenix Bike Park?
Any mountain bike is suitable for our park. However, if you’re used to more rugged and rough terrain, we recommend pumping up your tires more than usual and firming up your suspension to get the most out of your experience. You can also ride the park on a BMX or a fully rigid bike, but you may find that the trails don’t feel as smooth as they look. We have plenty of trails suitable for kids’ bikes, including balance bikes. Basically, you can ride any bike you like. The only bikes we do not recommend are road bikes, gravel bikes, or any bike with curly handlebars due to safety concerns.
  • Can I bring spectators?
Spectators are allowed on site but must watch from the safety areas and are not allowed to walk around the trails. Spectators do not need to purchase a ride pass.

  • What are the UK Cycling Helmet Standards?
Helmet Standards Guide At Phoenix, safety is our top priority. To ensure all our riders are protected, we recommend using helmets that meet the appropriate safety standards for their age group and activity. EN1078 – For Adults and Older Children Helmets certified to the EN1078 standard are designed for cycling, skateboarding, and roller skating. They are suitable for adults and older children, offering protection through rigorous testing for shock absorption, effective chin straps, and a clear field of vision. EN1080 – For Younger Children For younger riders, helmets meeting the EN1080 standard are recommended. These helmets are specifically designed with children’s safety in mind and include features such as a breakaway chin strap to reduce the risk of strangulation in case of entanglement. ASTM F1952 – The Standard for Full-Face Helmets For riders tackling downhill or extreme mountain biking, we recommend full-face helmets certified to the ASTM F1952 standard. These helmets are specifically designed for high-impact scenarios, offering enhanced protection for your head and face. While not mandatory, full-face helmets provide a much higher level of protection compared to standard cycling helmets. This makes them an excellent choice for beginners and pros alike. Although they may feel bulkier, the added safety is well worth it. When purchasing a full-face helmet, look for the ASTM F1952 certification to ensure you're choosing a product that meets the highest safety standards. Using the correct helmet for your age group and activity is essential for safety and compliance. If you’re unsure which standard applies to you or your child, feel free to ask our team for guidance.
